ACE501 Alfresco Certified Engineer Study guide


I have recently cleared the ACE501: Alfresco Certified Engineer on Jan 30, 2016. I’m sharing the details what I studied for this certification. Hope this can help you in preparing for the same.

This certification is based on Alfresco 5.0.x version only.

The following lists the test competencies that are expected of an Alfresco Certified Engineer and the topics

Alfresco API: This section is comprised of 5 questions. Topics covered are:

Architectural Core: This section is comprised of 27 questions. Topics covered are:

• FreeMarker Template API

• JavaScript API

• Packaging Extensions

• Security and Authentication

• SOLR

• Other Subsystems

Repository Customization: This section comprises 13 questions, distributed among the following topics:

• Content Modeling

• Event Models

• Rules and Actions

• Transformations

• Workflows


User Interface Customization: This section comprises 10 questions, distributed among the following topics:

• Aikau

• Alfresco Share UI Configuration

• Alfresco Share UI Customization

• Alfresco Share UI Framework


Webscripts: This section comprises 5 questions and covers the Webscript Framework.
